Virtual Program Overview
This year will be a hybrid format, with in-person poster and research talk presentations, a combination of in-person and virtual panels, and an in-person keynote seminar. A schedule of presentations and program will be provided following the registration guideline.
Oral Presentation Guidelines
Oral presentations should be practiced in advance and are allotted 20 minutes for the presentation and questions. Please time your recorded presentation to be 15 minutes long, leaving 5 minutes for questions. If presentations are pre-recorded (virtual option), questions will be answered in real time following the recorded presentation. Therefore, it is important that virtual presenters attend the Zoom conference so that they are available to answer questions. Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint, and accepted video formats include MP4, AVI, WMV, and MOV. The 16:9 (widescreen) format in PowerPoint is recommended, but 4:3 is also acceptable. Presentations should include a voice-over or a video insert of the presenter speaking. View this helpful video on how to record your PowerPoint presentation in Zoom with speaker video insert. In addition, this helpful video describes how to create a voice-over recording of your presentation using the PowerPoint recording tool. Video presentations must be recorded and emailed to [email protected] by April 7th, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
Poster Presentation Guidelines
Poster presentations should be prepared according to these guidelines. Poster presentations are allotted 5 minutes for presentations and questions. Please time your presentation to be 3 minutes or less, leaving approximately 2-3 minutes for questions. Poster presentations will only be given in person this year. While abstracts are due according to the abstract submission deadlines on our registration page, posters are due the morning of April 14th by 8:30 AM, to allow for setup time.
